View Full Version : Shuffle battery life?
I was just wondering whether when i leave the ips paused it still uses up battery life. Because i know that with my previous flashed based mp3 player it would simply turn off automatically after a certain amount of time.

you may be on to something, every time I go to pick up my shuffle and head out the door it is out of battery and I only would use it for 1-2 hours after a full charge. read my post about charging the IPS, and tell me if you have the same problem.
I have never really left my shuffle charging so long that my computer went into sleep mode so i can't say that i have had that same problem. I was just wondering whether the shuffle continues to use up battery life when it is paused because i often forget to move the swithc in the back to the off position.

I have been using it for like 4 days streight, battery life is still at Green!!

I use mine 2-4 hours a day and the battery never goes below green, charge it maybe 1/2 hr at night and it's back to full.

i havent done a battery test, but i used it for aobut 4 hours a day for 4 days and it went orange on the fifth day.
so i suppose i got more than 12 hours, maybe i should do a proper test.

Yeah, i've gotten over 12 hours. But i haven't done an official test. I probably should, although I already know that it will last longer than 12 hours. The flash based memory makes it last longer. A hard drive must spin and that uses power.
