Clearing playlists

Didn't see the answer to this in the manual.

Can you delete a "On the Go" playlist on the mini? Or do you have to remove them on iTunes?

I see how to delete them through iTunes but not directly on the Mini.

I was able to create them on the Mini so I figure I could delete them on the Mini, no?

well once you plug your ipod into the computer the playlists that are on the ipod will show up, if you want to delete that playlist just highlight it and press delete on your keyboard, this should clear the playlist

Does that mean you cannot delete them "on the go" without plugging into your PC?

You can. But you need the software update that makes your iPod mini v 1.2 or higher. Once that's done, there should be two options at the bottom of your on the go playlist. One is clear. Choose that one and clear it. A word of warning, it drains the batteries a bit.

I do have ver. 1.2 software and I see the "Clear Playlist" command but apparently that only works until you have "Saved" the playlist.

Does that sound right? Does "Saving Playlist" make it protected so that it can only be deleted on the PC?
