Hello,

A couple of weeks ago i had my PC ;aptop stolen. I have since bought a new computer, downloaded my songs from my ipod mini to the new computer (thanks to all who told me how to do this). I have now fixed the playlists to what I want I would now like to sync my ipod to the new computer. I plug in my ipod using USB, the ipod starts to charge, but my new Mac G5 does not acknowledge the ipod at all. it doesn't show up in the finder, i-tunes says no ipod is connected. Please help me. I would really like to update my ipod and it is disheartening to have my new computer not even "see' it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

have you tried using Firewire as the connector to your spanking new G5? I had problems connecting mine to my own G5 with the USB cable, Firewire worked perfectly.

Have u tried a good ol' SIMPLE reset?? Just hold down the Menu and the Select buttons and wait for it to reset. Once it resets (let go) you will see the Apple Logo. This worked for me.
