Anyone "pretend" their 1st gen mini ipod was broken?

Did any of you guys try to score a new 2ng gen mini by saying there was something wrong with your ipod, whether it was battery related or otherwise? If so, what happened? I am thinking of taking mine in to the genius bar, I do have minor problems with it but I am thinking of exaggerating a bit!

Firstly, what you're contemplating is at best unethical, and at worst, fraudulent, and therefore not appropriate for discussion here.

Secondly, this wouldn't be too likely to work, anyway. Apple has a large quantity of refurbished "first generation" iPod mini units available, so they would very likely just replace yours with a refurbished unit.
