Pacific Rim Gel Shield and Apple Shuffle Armband

I am looking for information about the recently released Pacific Rim Gel Shield for the Shuffle.

1. Can the Gel Shield be used with the Apple IPS armband?

2. Does the Gel Shield provide adequate protection from sweat?

The gel does provide sweat protection I use it to run with in a makeshift armband until I recieve the IPS armband and it works great. I hope it works with the apple armband and i don't see why it wouldn't since the silicone is so thin.

Tom (or anyone else who has this experience),

Have you had a chance to use the Gel Shield-encased IPS with the armband? Still curious to know if the two fit together. I'm looking for the best arm band solution for exercise (don't like the lanyard) and if the two work together it seems like it would be the one -- not too bulky like the SportWrap, but still sweat-protected, unlike using just the armband.
