I didnt place this in the ephpod forum because: 1. no one answers, 2. its not totally ephpod related

I have windows 98se so I cant run the software that Apple gives you with your ipod. So, i used eph pod for a while but it stopped working. My computer reads my ipod as F: Mac, so i assumed it is mac formatted. If i were to run the software that apple gave me on another freinds computer (windows xp, 2000 ) would it then be formatted as windows?

I think running the iPod updater while it's connected to a 2K or XP machine will format it up for Windows. Quite how it will then work with your 98SE machine I'm not sure as I don't have any experience of iPod on 98.

Yes, formatting under Windows 2000/XP will make it readable under Windows 98.

EphPod, it works with 98se but the thing is it stopped working because our trial period of mac opener(software that opens mac drives) expired so thats why im gonna go to a freinds to get it formatted so its a windows so macopener isnt needed.

I hope......
