Stop - Play - Pause Madness

Hello,

Is it me? I'm having so much problems with my 40 Gig Ipod - It's driving me crazy!

I am always having problems trying to stop my Ipod from playing. Let's say a song is playing and I want to stop Ipod. I then press the play/pause button and hold it but it will not turn off... :-( My friend tels me that you have to press the menu button a few times before doing this. That still does not work very well.

For me, the stop button on Ipod is a big design flaw - you should be able to stop it easily not having to press different buttons, hold it for a few seconds, etc.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Welcome to the lounge. The play/pause button is the only one you have to press to stop the iPod from playing. Since your having problems with it I suggest doing a restore using the updater. This will erase the iPod contents and set it back to its factory settings so back up the contents. They will have to be readded. If it still continues after you have restored the iPod then contact Apple for repair service. It shouldn't be doing that.

And your friend is wrong.
