View Full Version : earbud making scratchy noises, please help
I'm using the earbuds that come with the iPod right now, and the right one is making scratchy noises. It does this at all volume levels. How do I remove this?
Oh, and I have another problem.
Sometimes, my iPod will be playing a song, and about 10-15 seconds into the song, it'll just skip to the next track. Is there anyway I can fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Um.. first try resetting it (menu and play/pause). As far as the headphones problem exists, get new ones because the noise is not normal. If the skip problem does not resolve itsself, replace it with your warranty.
I hold down on the play/pause + menu buttons for more than 5 seconds, and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?
Sorry for the double-post, but I just encountered another problem
Now when I play a song, it acts like a broken record and only plays the first half-second of the song over and over again. It does this with every song.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY IPOD?!

Use the updater and restore the iPod. This will erase the iPod contents so make sure you have copies of the songs on the iPod.
If the problem presists you can see this (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61018).
