I just got an e-mail from ipodmechanic.com replying to my inquiry about selling them my mini. While they'd only give me $100 bucks for it they did say in the e-mail that:

Also we are doing trade ins if you're looking to buy the new 4gb or 6gb
mini.
$79 for the 4gb mini (switch and keep your accessories)
$129 for the 6gb mini (switch and keep your accessories)

Sounds kinda cool to me...80 bucks (cheeper than a new 18hr battery) and you get a new 2nd gen mini. 130 bucks gets you the battery plus 2 gigs more of hardrive...I think they're both reasonable offers. ANyone have experience in dealing with these guys? I'd hate to send my iPod away only to have it never come back. But it'd be sweet to upgrade AND keep my charger and cables man!
