Well, that's what I just paid to ensure mine doesn't get swallowed by the sand in Jamaica next week.

There's only 1 Sport Case for sale (on eBay) in the United States and it turns out it's 10 miles from my home :)

A Benjamin and a short drive and it's mine, mon.

Wow. That may be more expensive than the metal one on here. You couldn't get one of those silicone ones for like $15?

I think I would've just bought a spare 512MB shuffle!

I bought the silicone one's too but didn't like the 'seam' between the removeable cap and the housing. Also, I want to wear the cord around the neck for strolls up the beach.....can't do that with the condom.

If youre going to be on the beach with your Shuffle, you made a good buying choice for the case (Not necessarily a smart one but its your money). The Sport Case is basically a sealed unit so you at least dont have to worry about salt getting in there.

I question your sanity. For a $100 you could buy a second one to keep as a backup in case of beach disaster.

Well, the auction is still up on eBay and it's up to $87.00, so I don't feel so bad in overpaying for the other one the same seller had.

There's no way to say this without bragging, but you're challenging my decision-making so here goes:

$100 is pocket change.

Truth.

Doesn't matter how much money you have. If you are buying the case for the look, ok. But you are saying to protect the shuffle and the music on it is not lost. If your shuffle is destroyed, for $100 you can purchase another one since last I checked, the shuffle is in great supply.

Don't try this pocket change crap, I've used that before, but not to cover up an unwise financial move. :D

Besides they appear to be cheaper and available right from apple.

I ordered two from Apple this morning and they shipped this afternoon. Maybe the $10 extra I paid for two-day shipping made the difference.

That is possibly the saddest thing I've read in a long time...of course you know now you will lose your Shuffle while you are in Jamaica and not only will you be out that but you'll be out your $100 plastic case...sad...just plain sad. But on th eplus side some other guy will be walking along and he'll be like "hey mon, I just found a Shuffle...it is a good day for me, but I got to throw this cheap lookin' case away".

My question is:
If $100 is pocket change, why settle for an iPod shuffle? Why not go for the iPod photo that is just a mere 4-5 times as much, since you will end up spending that much on iPod shuffle cases anyway?

I have made about a dozen cases for my iPods, and all of them work successfully. The only thing they cost me was about an hour, and a little bit of manliness (there was sewing involved).

I have an iPod shuffle, and I don't think it's worth having a case that expensive for it. If you're worried about the sand, then the sport case won't give you that much protection (my understanding is that the front and back aren't protected, but only held by the sides).

I only order one; regular shipping; and it shipped within 24 hours and will be here in 2 days fedex. i just think they haven't updated their 4-6 week website.

The Shuffle is perfect for the beach and you 100% need the Sport Case to make it function without fear.

I'm in Negril, Jamaica and it's fantastic with a Shuffle. Left the iBrick at home. Anyone want one, cheap?

Incorrect. The sport case is 100% sealed. I wont go as far as waterproof but short of dropping it in the bathtub, I think you're covered.
