Hi all,
Does anyone know anything about Podcasting software security?
When I open podcast software, ipodderX, lemon, even poddumfeeder, I get a warning from my application Little snitch, saying: ""The application "python" wants to connect to 154.67-19-61.reverse.theplanet.com on TCP port 80 (http)"
Does it sounds little fishy-??
Thank you for the help.

A google search turned up 'python' (http://www.python.org) - it's software. The planet.com is a website also that offers advanced web hosting. The best thing to do is Email the ipodder website and ask.

Actually, Python is a programming language. Most likely, something written in Python is trying to "call home" from that app.

Sounds a little fishy.

Although, podcasting amounts to the "automatic downloading of content" so, it could be that the software is just trying to get the info you want to be "podcasted".
