Yay! This is a pretty big deal, 3-digits without transferring old posts from the old board. 100 posts!!:D

That would make two of us. Congrats!
Considering that 'uniqueseraph' had 52 of his century and 'jester' 40 of his all in the one thread, and all consisting of one word, is a bit of a hollow reason to celebrate.
Now, should we deduct these from the total for post count boosting?
In order for this not to happen, please submit an essay of 1000 words as to why your current post count should stand?
;)

Hang around for a long time, be polite and helpful and sorta like a boy scout with a really weird sense of humor. And suck up to the people who are already mods, of course. ;)

You provide meaningful information to the iPodlounge population, help out with new users, be a general all around good person (while hanging out here). And of course as you mentioned, a well place bribe works well!

Bob, if you reccomended someone for a moderator position just because they'd given you a 30 GB iPod, I'd have to to oppose the nomination. Unless, of course, a 30 GB iPod made its way to me as well...

How to be a mod?
Don't diss your fellow podders. Don't diss other platforms. Show restraint, tolerance and good sense. Know when to speak and when to shut up. Know when to squash and when to stand by ready to squash. Know the Forum guidelines inside out and be able to apply them evenly and without favour even if you disagree with minor elements.
Be helpful. Offer useful advice and help when it's needed without being pretentious, pompous or patronising.
Be willing to devote your time to helping others.
Don't waste your time creeping to the existing Mods - they'll appoint on merit, not on personal feelings.
It's not about number of posts or length of 'service'.
There's a very good reason (ok a bucket full of good reasons) that Jacko has more posts than any non-mod.....
It's easy! Do as I say, though, not as I do!

I know the rules of cricket, too, but can't play the game at all.
It's the difference between theory and practise......

It's easy! Do as I say, though, not as I do!
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember
what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself................
The Moderators Prayer.....

Jacko, read your lovely words and it made me think of Desiderata.....

Then, sir, you are much more knowledgable than I. I still haven't figured out why it's called cricket! What does the game have to do with grylliades?
