Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. 13 Times orange  I'm new here. I'm in the market for a pair of decent sounding earphones. I'm looking to spend no more than £30. Any suggestions?

Hello Chiggen989. Welcome to the Lounge. :D I hope you enjoy your stay here.
I personally suggest the Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Earphones. Look at these reviews - http://reviews.designtechnica.com/user_reviews239_page1.html and http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Sony_MDR_EX71SL_WK__black_/4505-6468_16-30520512-2.html?tag=tab
These sell for £25 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008XYJL/qid%3D1109104533/202-9853214-1527048). ;)

Where did you read this? On eBay the Shure E2c's are selling for £40 if you want to strech your budget? Do you want an in-ear earphone or one that just sits in your ear?

Lol, ok. I've never heard of them breaking easily. Anyone had a pair of these that have broken easily? I'm not sure what you are specifically looking for.

Go for the Sony's to start off with. These are a good pair to begin with. And then you can slowly upgrade to better earphones over your life. :p

If you want earbuds you have these choices:

Sony EX71
Shure E2c
Etymotic ER-6i
Shure E3c
Etymotic ER-4
Shure E5c

They go in order of quality (and price). That's pretty much the only choices. I think for your price range the EX71's will do fine. I don't think that there is anything wrong with their qualty. They are comparible (durability-wise) with pretty much all other earbuds.

I think with earbuds you get what you pay for, the more you spend the better the quality.... at least thats what i've been told.
I've got the EX71's and they are holding up pretty well. I throw them in my bag with no case all the time and they are working great. I like the sound from them and they fit really well. The cord is a little annoying but you get used to it.

Yeah chiggen898, you should defiently get the EX71's. They fall below your price range and from what pompom said and a lot of others, they are great quality for the price.
