Playing Ipod while charging through AC adapter... is it hurting the pod?

Hello.

I am just wondering if using the Ipod while charging through the AC adapter is good for the Ipod.

Also, when the Ipod is turned on when connected to a charger, does the charger work "around" or "through" Ipod's internal battery? In other words, does the energy go directly from the charger to ipod, or does the energy go from charger -> battery -> ipod ?? Sorry if my english is too confusing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome. It doesn't hurt the iPod when you play it through the charger. When it's charging I believe that the iPod is working "around" the battery battery, therefore, not using battery.

I have noticed though that I get a buzz in the headphones when doing this.
