Hey everyone!

I'm currently using a Sony Casette Adapter to play my 4G 20GB ipod through my '96 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. I haven't been very happy with the sound quality, so have been looking for a way to hard wire my ipod into the sound system.

After doing some research over the net and looking at the posts in this forum, I've come to the conclussion that a new head unit with an aux input is the best way to go. Being able to control my ipod from the deck and all that jazz isn't really important to me, because I have easy access to it while driving. I'm really just focusing on the quality right now.

So my question is: what's a good head unit with an aux input? And where's the most inexpensive place to buy it from? I don't want to spend toooo much money. I'm open to any other ideas as well.

Thanks! :)

If you plan to install it yourself, Crutchfield's supplied installation accessories and free lifetime tech support are hard to beat. They may be a little more expensive, but they're worth it in my opinion.

I also think Crutchfield is great. They may cost a little more than some places, but after you add the cost of brackets and wiring harnesses and instructions the difference is sometimes not very big. Dealcoupon.com also usually has discount codes which will lower the cost. The customer service is very good.

I just purchased a Kenwood from them and luckily found that they had one in the "scratch and dent" department. It saved me $30 and I cannot find anything wrong with it (cosmetically or the way it works). Using a discount code brought the price down another $10.

Even if you don't buy from them their internet site is a very good place to do research and find out specs and stuff.

If you plan on spending $200 or more, you can use the code "pts2r-jxq56-8agwy" to receive $20 off your first order. Once you're a customer, anyone you refer to Crutchfield (and also spends $200 or more on their first order) gets you a $20 certificate towards any purchase. :D

Thanks for the suggestions guys. :)

I've been looking around on Crutchfield's website, and they do seem to have an awesome selection and good service. The free mounting kits/tools/instructions is also a HUGE plus.

Before I go any further. Does everyone think this is about the best option for me? Or would there be any other reasonable way to directly connect my ipod into my current setup? Thanks again for any answers.
