a podcast is an audio file that someone records either talking about a subject or playing music or both and makes available for free on the Internet - it can last from 5 min to over an hour... It's like a pre-recorded radio show.

think 'radio/tv broadcast' and replace radio/tv with 'pod' and that's basically it...!
