I appreciate there have been several topics on this before, but none really answer all my desires for headphones for my ipod.

Basically- I like the ones that come with the ipod- except they always fall out, and as it gets warmer I can't keep jogging with a hat on to keep them in.

I also want earphone that allow me to hear outside noise- not only to stop being run over, but also because sometimes I converse with my jogging partner. (And run in quiet areas, and like to be 'aware' if there are people around me.)

I don't particularly want 'over head ones', nor the bulky ones that look a bit like ear-muffs.

I looked through a few of the reviews on the site, and the Sony MDR-EX81 ones looked perfect except for two major things:

they kill some outside sound, and they are in canal type ones.

Do earphones exist which have the same ear clip design, semi-decent sound (I don't require anything amazing- I listen to such a wide range I wont find anything perfect within my student price range), but are NOT in-canal sound killing ones?

Or is it possible to get 'ear clip' attachments to add to my ipod ear buds just when exercising?

Thanks :)

What about the SONY MDR-ED21LP (http://www.audiooutfitter.com/store/MDR-ED21LP.html). They are not canal killers. Lol. My friend has these and they stay in his ear perfectly.

I assume they rely on being squished into the ears enough not to get dislodged by the jogging... I might try them if there aren't any clippy over ear solutions- I just don't want to fork out on new earphones and then ahve exactly the same problem.

Thanks :)

Take a look at these...
Aiwa HP-SC21 Clip Swoops Headphones (http://www.audiocubes.com/category/Earphones_Earbuds/product/Aiwa_HP-SC21_Clip_Swoops_Headphones.html)
There are a couple of positive reviews from other runners, they do not seal off the ear canal, have clips to hold them on, and even come in white...

Here's another option from the Apple store...

Same type of style, also with some positive reviews from runners.
Nike Vapor Sport (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71708/wo/7348AULmFy9X3V2fITi1t47D1gh/2.0.11.1.0.6.12)
You may have to scroll down the page to see these, or if the link doesn't work just search for the name at the Apple store...

Hope this helps
