I just got my Contour isee-20 for my new 4G 20GB today. I already have the Podshield on my iPod (the plastic sheets that protect the back and the screen clinging by static).

Just a forewarning to anyone who wants to try the isee with this type of plastic protector instead of the sleeve that comes with the isee --- DON'T! The plastic is way too "tacky" to slide into the isee and when you get your iPod into the isee, it gets stuck and is very, very, very difficult to remove. The plastic from the Podshield sticks to the isee. I finally got my iPod out (I was really panicking here) and when I did, I removed the iPodshield and there was a nasty looking scratch on the right side of the back of my iPod, which did fortunately come out with brass polisher. Also don't use the screen protector because it too will stick to the isee. Just use the protective sleeve by itself. Needless to say, I ordered more sleeves from Contour Design for $7.00 + free freight for a pack of 10 because those too scratch to hell (I tried it in conjunction with the iPodshield screen protector and as it stuck to the isee, the Contour sleeve got all scratched). But the ipod with just the Contour plastic sleeve slide into the isee nicely and smoothly, so that is obviously the way to go to keep the iPod from scratching while sliding in or out of the isee.

But otherwise, nice case ... I think I like it. Looks nice and looks like it will protect the ipod well.

Best, Pam :)

I have the iSee-40 and can confirm that it does not work with the Podshield.

Where are you finding the 10-pack of sleeves for $7.00 from Contour Design. Right now I'm using the Contour Design by itself without any sleeves, but I'd like to buy some. Can you provide the link, because I can't seem to find them on the site.

Thanks.

Hi :) Here's the link to their product listing:

http://www.contourdesign.com/cgi-bin/webstore/web_store.pl?search_request_button=yes&query_price_low_range=1&query_price_high_range=1000&cart_id=24560

They are called "iPod Jackets" at the bottom of the page.

They are a good thing to have ... they protect the click wheel, as well.

Best, Pam :)

I have the podshield and the isee 20 and use both. It fits snugly but does fit. I like it alot better then the sleeves contour design sells you. They don't fit. I even had them send me more of them because I thought I may have received the ones for the 40 gb.

That is strange as my isee-20 plastic shield fits very snugly, almost to the point of being difficult to slip on my 4G 20GB iPod. I cannot use the PodShield at all with the isee-20 as the fit is so snug with it on that my iPod got stuck in the isee case.

Strange! Pam :)
