Whenever I try to play a song on my new 30gb ipod, one of the following happens:
1. The ipod freezes on the now playing screen and none of the buttons work.
2. The song plays for about 2 seconds then the ipod resets itself.
3. The song plays but there is a scratching type of sound that overpowers the music.
Also, when i try to connect my ipod to my computer (i use firewire), the 'do not disconnect' screen comes on and stays on, but the computer doesnt recognize the ipod. i try to open xplay and it says there is no ipod connected.
ive tried reseting my ipod many times, but all of these problems persist. any help is greatly appreciated since i just spent $550 on an ipod that doesnt even work.
