iPod Shuffle skins

Is they actually covered the whole Shuffle then I'd probably be interested, but seeing as they only cover the front and sides (or front only) you can still see the white corners, and it just looks like a sticker.

Shame really...

hey men you, you should get these one's. The Silicone iPOD Shuffle skin is way batter the one with the flames is just decals and it does not do any good, but with the silicone on it protects it and it looks really nice. I just ordered 2 of, of ebay. Check out the pics below.

Hey men, go to ebay and in the search bar and type Ipod shuffle. Then it should say in the matching categories column MP3 Players & Accessories then click on it. Then you should see on the Matching Categories, MP3 Accessories and click on it. Then after that you should see on the Matching Categories Apple ipod Accessories and click on it . Then lastly you should see on the Matching Categories, Skins and then click on that. Then just scroll down and pick what you want, ok...

I like the decals, I have the flame decal on my 15 Gig.
I do wish it covered the whole thing. I also have a silicone jacket but i don't that it makes it bigger.

I bought two styles from decal girl (the benjamins and the us flag). I put the benjamin decal on and didn't like it. It looked okay but I guess it just wasn't my style to be carrying around a shuffle that looks like money. However I then put on the US flag style and it looks very nice. The white areas that the decals don't cover actually enhances the decal since the theme is already red, white and blue. It looks very nice. It's nice to know you carry around a shuffle that's just a little different from the plain jane white that is all over the place. When in the heck did "white" become the in color?

nice, that looks cool.. how do you know the exact dimensions of the decal though? would you just make the image of the shuffle the real dimensions in a graphics app and the with a new layer fit the graphic on top?

nice... actually, DecalGirl, who prints Vinyl Skins, may either do a custom job for you or take that as a suggestion for future skins. I think a whole series of flags might be cool. I'd get a Norwegian flag personally .. or maybe a Jolly Roger.

I just got a few sets of the Vinyl Skins from DecalGirl, I like them. Kinda neat and I like the idea of some reusability. I can see myself wanting to switch designs every fews weeks. Though I don't know just how reusable the vinyl skins are, but for $3 I'm willing to find out.

I do wish they covered the sides though, anothe three strips wouls do it .. two sides and the bottom of the cap.

The white showing doesn't bother me so much. But seeing as the Shuffle is but a standard size I don't see why it'd be hard to add the extra mm to get the skin to the edge. but then, I don't know squat about vinyl printing and template cutting - it could be difficult.

it's only made with simple shapes, so with the right dimensions it's not hard to get it right.

i'm thinking of getting some adhesive vinyl in different colors and try cutting. maybe it's possible to get leftovers from some car-styling shop.

custom work from decalgirl seems to be for large quantities only

actually decalgirl can do single run custom requests, but you need to check with them via info@decalgirl.com to make sure they aren't over booked at the time. i know they are very selective in the quality of work that not only goes into the materials but the art also. persoannly i've got their skins for my ipod, ps2, pstwo and xbox and think they're all awesome.

I was looking at the silicone shuffle cases on ebay but wasn't too impressed by the quality ("generic, non-OEM") so I got a sweeeeeeeeeeet Xskn Exo2 black one from theistore.com (I would post the URL but I've just been informed I can't as I'm not an "established member". Bah!)

The quality is excellent and it has an adjustable black lanyard.

Just one thing - keep it AWAY from any light coloured fabrics or dust, this thing attracts fluff like a magnet.

Actually, two things - they charged me something like $12 postage to the UK and when it arrived the package had about $1.70 worth of stamps on it. How expensive ARE Jiffy envelopes in the US?!?! ;-)

I've had my PacRimTechnologies skins (charcoal, white, blue) going for 2 weeks and love 'em. Covers my shuffle completely and easy to change out. ;)

I was thinking about getting some skins for my 4G and Shuffle from DecalGirl, but I wish GameConsoleSkins.com did it cause they do awesome jobs for the consoles. I'm gonna get a skin for my PSP and DS from there cause they cover both front and back.

Do high quality laser or inkjet printers print on vinyl? The lab i work in has high quality printers that we print on glossy paper all the time. i just wondered if i can print on vinyl using these. Of course another question is where can i find vinyl.

One more question (ok i know i am a newbie). Are these skins sold in apple stores or anywhere else. Do I have to buy them online?

you can print on vinyl, the issue with that is just like with printing on glossy papers in that you can't get a permanent bond that will prevent smudging from over handling, no to mention water damage (palm sweat, moisture transfer from drinks, so on and so forth)
