i like the stock ear buds but i would perfer a differnt color cord beacuse they look stupid in white. so whats the best earbuds for under $40. and the reason i say no shures or sony fantopias is because i dont like stickin anything in my ear canal. I only listen to hip-hop/rap.

yea me to ... i want some nice ear buds for rock/rap/hip hop .... under $40 if any1 can recommend some nice ones .... either clipon earphones or just something like the orginial ipod ones ... not those standard oens that come wiht cd players .... thanks

Well sony ex 51 or 71 noise-cancelling ear buds will do you good and if you shop around you can find some for pretty cheap.

dont those have a tip that sticks into your ear canal? if so i dont like those.

have you tried canal phones though? cuz i thought i wouldn't like it but then i'm sooo used to my shures. in fact, its the best phones i've ever used.

Try Sharp HP MD 33S. I am using them since last one month and very pleased with the performance, I also have SONY EX71 but MD33 performance is much better than EX71.
You can get them for $49 delivered from www.audiocubes.com. Note, audiocubes ships from Osaka, Japan, so if you want to return them , you need to ship to Japan.

Yeah most canal ear-buds are very comfterable i can't even feel mine when they;re in my ears

It's probably worth mentioning that Audiocubes don't accept returns.

md33 goes in your ears
sennheiser mx400 or mx500 is most likely the best way to go. they dont go in your ears and are bassy.
