need help, 5gig car install

I have been searching these forums for months and bought the original 5gig way back when they were first released. I love the ipod and am trying to find the best way to hook it up to my car, thus my question. What is the best way to hook up my ipod to a car? Would a device like this http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/canadastore.woa/72108/wo/G62SgUMQlX7p31d7FxI2vd53J0J/1.3.0.5.10 work well, or would a simple tape addapter suffice? Since it is the 5gig I don't think that I can use the Belkin autokit (isn't it only for the gen 3 ipods?) so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
