View Full Version : How are the Apple in-ear headphones?
I want a pair of headphones besides my sony pro eggos. I'm thinking about getting the ER-6s, but I'm also interested in the AIEs.
I have a pair of black Sony nudes also, is the sound quality of the AIEs comparable to these?

They are delicious. Good sound and bass. A good tip to keep them in your ears is to "wet" the scilicone on the earbuds so they will stick in your ears, or you can give yourself a wet willy. They both work.
I love them :)

They rock. However, I recommend you get some Sony EX51/71 silicone sleeves to use instead of the Apple ones. It makes a world of difference comfort wise. Wetting your own ear is sick and no headphone is worth that, if you ask me.
I have the black 71s, maybe I'll just use the sleeves from those.

they sound SOOOOO good. i have found that a quick q-tip-ing befor you ut them in not only stopps them from getting all clogged w/ wax but helps them seal better.

Hmmm, im wondering now. I have the Sony 71's in black. I would like to have white headphones. Do you think the Apple in ear earphones are going to be worth buying. The only problem with the sony's is the stupidly short cable.
Thanks guys

I In ear phones from Apple are great I use them for work everyday and i have no complaints
They didn't get a very good mark in the iPodlounge review, something like a B. Apparently the sound isn't so good. It's good to see so many people swearing on them, prehaps the review was a little harsh?

The review was mostly negative because of the comfort issue. Putting Sony sleeves on them will help.

What Comfort Issue? I have mine everyday and i use the small sleeves for them. they are very comfortable. Just don't jam them all the way in your ears. put them in until you feel comfortable the you are all set. You may have to try all 3 until you settlle on what you want .
I think they are great

The AIE's come with 3 sets of sleeves for you to try out as well as with a case that holds all of it (its small and when you are done with the headphone portion you wrap it back in the case to hold it the good thing is that it does not tangle) So if you do buy it . you will see that it is a good investment.
