ice link menu

I resently bought a dension lice link plus, installed it, all went fine. However I cannot access the menu's ,I want to be able to charge while playing etc, I was wondering has anyone got one in there car, if so can you access the menu's through selecting disk 6. Also how does the menu get onto the Ipod ,is it transfered from the ice>link or is something suppose to be loaded when you get the unit. I am not too interested in the text been displayed on the H.U. (would be nice)
