File grahic with ! warning sign

Graphic of a file with ! warning sign appeared when starting ipod up, just before and after Apple logo appeared, then it shuts down.

Restored Ipod, reinstalled MC9 and synched playlists. Everything ok, selcted a track, played halfway then pressed 'next' - ipod froze, rebooted ipod and now back at square one with file graphic and ! warning sign.....any ideas how to clear this bug?

I've never seen this behaviour. Oh, I've seen it as the result of not disconnecting properly or doing a bad restore. But not just by playing a tune.

I'd consider sending it in for repair. That's just not normal behavior.
