Canadian who wants American Itunes

I'm a Canadian Itunes/ipod user. I have one small question, I would like to be able to download the freebie American songs that Itunes features sometimes.

However, Since my itunes is Canuck based, I can't seem to get access to them. Any suggestions? Credit Card info has to match billing address...and I'd prefer to not hunt around p2p as I'm sick of viruses etc.

You need a credit card with a billing address in the United States in order to use the US iTunes.

What are the PayPal options? Can you set up a verified PayPal account in the US?

Actually that is not true. You do not need a billing address to use the US iTunes, because I dont have a credit card and I still download songs.

Try to do this and see if you can get the US iTunes store.

Open iTunes
Go to Music Store homepage.
Left upper column choose "Choose Store"
Then you will probably get a list of stores, US, UK, etc..
Choose the US one and then see if you can download the song.

What billing source did you use when you set up your account? It was required when I set up mine over a year ago.

I just get the pre-paid cards at target or best buy then they dont require a credit card.

No, it won't seem to let me just select songs in the U.S itunes. Oh well I guess, I'll just hope the Canadian Itunes does some good giveaways and it's not all Anne Murray and Celine Dion.
