My wife just got a new car, 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I tried to use my Itrip on it (regular Itip for a 20 G). I use 87.9 on My car , her old car and in the house. I know how to use this thing, so it's not that.

Anyway, this thing just doesnt work on THAT car. Works great otherwise. I dont know what it is, the station are not coming in, and the iPod fades in and out. When I try to set other stations you can barely hear the beeps.

Anyway, my wife has an iPod Mini, and needs to get a wireless transmitter for HER iPod - Mini. Is there any information on how the Itrip-mini can work on certain radios? Are there other brands that work with the mini that could be recommended?

EDIT: I just read that the Itrip may not work on some cars due to a metalic lining in the window. If this is the case w/ her car, are there wirless transmitters that can get through that?

There may be some wireless transmitters that work, ones that draw their power from the cigarete adapter in the car. From what I have heard, the iTrips are pretty weak when it comes to power because they get it from the iPod's battery.
