Help please: itunes messed up my MY MUSIC folder

like for some reason itunes converted all my music in my music folder where i keeeep all my music into folders. like all my files are catorgorized into artist folders and i dont want it like that. i tried to play around wit "arrange icons by" but nuttin so it has to be itunes.

any1 know how to fix this?

go to preferences, then advanced, and there should be a check mark that says organize music, make sure it is un checked,,


in my opinion i like itunes to organze my music.

it still wont fix it...all my media in MY MUSIC folder is all put in folders..i dont like that cuz incase my friends need a song i have to check each and every folder for a song rather just having all the files displayed.

ok well the only thing you can do is drag all the music files back into a main folder, and make sure that check box for organizing music files is unchecked....i think its the only way

omg that will take forever!!!!! i have alottt of folders.

come on i have windows xp pro there has to be sutting to EASILY put it back to how it was.

thats the only way that i can think of, other then doing system restore...it wont take that long. or just keep it organized by artist, it actually is much easier to manage

Surely if you actually listen to the artists you have you'll know what album the song is on?

Is this how you browse your iPod aswell, I'd laugh hard if it was.
