Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I don't know about many of you, but I was looking at the cases available on websites and Ebay for the ipod shuffle and was astonished at the prices they wanted for them. I am the owner of a 3G 20GB ipod and recently bought a 512MB shuffle for various small activities where my larger ipod wasn't needed. Frankly I don't really want to pay a lot of money for something that only costs $99. Pretty soon we will be paying more for the accessories than for the shuffle itself. Anyways, I was thinking about what I was looking for in a case for the shuffle. I realized that I wasn't too worried about it getting knocked around a little in my pocket, but I was mainly concerned with it getting scratched and getting pocket lint, dirt etc. in the small crevaces. So, I was sitting at my desk tonight and noticed a couple of unused latex gloves that I accidentally brought home from gross anatomy class. I immediately cut off the middle finger and stretched it around the body of my shuffle. I cut a hole in the tip of the finger for the earphone jack. What I got was skin tight, scratch-proof case that was also sanitary. If you have access or know anyone with access to medical exam gloves, ask them to get you a couple of pairs of various size gloves and try it out. If you are merely looking for scratch protection for your shuffle, this free alternative works great.

That's a good way to keep it safe. Cheap, too. And if it gets ripped, it's easily replacable.

very nicely done there! cost efficient and effective at the same time! maybe when it wears out, you can tear that history book up and start wrapping that around your ipod shuffle! hehe.
