I did pletty of research and lots of people have said that the Sennheiser MX500 or MX400 are good earbuds for the price range of $20- $25.

So I need to make a final decision. I'll be using it for my ipod mini and needed earbuds that give good bass.

Should i buy these earbuds or do you recommend something else. I want to spend only in the $20 - $25 range. Also will the Sennheiser MX500 or MX400 give better bass than the stock apple earbuds??

Has anyone tried these earbuds by panasonic?

I've seen many positive recommendations for the Sennheiser MX-500 (and 400) buds. But it really depends how much bass you want. I really don't think any earbuds have enough bass. I would recommend Koss KSC-75s. They are over the ear types. They're very comfortable and have lots of bass. List price is $20, but you can get them as low as $15. Target carries them. They're an absolute steal for the price.

But will the bass on the Sennheiser MX-500 or MX400 be more bass than apple stock ones? Will the sound quality be better than apple?

Toothpaste:

That's a good link. I've been to Headroom many times but never saw that. I compared the MX-500, Apple stock buds, Grado SR-60 and Koss Porta-Pro. It was pretty much what I expected. The earbuds are really lackluster in the bass region. The Grado is a bit more flat, and the Koss are pumped up quite a bit. I own both Koss and Grado (see my sig).

Based on the chart that I saw, I would say that the Sennheiser's would not have much of an improvement in bass over the stock buds. But I've personaly never listened to them.

The MX500 is brighter and has quite a bit less bass than the stock phones when both are fitted properly. th bightness is what causes people to say that the MX500 are so much more capable than the Apple buds. Personally, I prefer the Apple buds... far more musical.

For a low budget, I'd suggest you save a bit more and get a Sennheiser PX100. It's a headphone sure, but it's a very portable one.

Just buy whatever you want. It's only $20, most of them are the same anyways.
