4G 20GB iPod Dock worth buying?

Hey guys, I just bought a 20GB 4G iPod for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and I was wondering if it was worth it to spend the extra money on picking up a Dock for it too. Does it really make that big of a difference? Thank you in advance for any advice you can send my way.

i don't think a dock is worth it. sure, maybe it looks a little better, but when it's plugged into your computer you don't even need to see the screen. If i were you i wouldn't buy it. it's just a piece of shaped plastic that has the port built into it.

i agree. unless you plan on using the line-out to get a clean, unamplified sound into a home stereo or something, not worth it.
