Frankly, there are far too many great 80's New Wave songs to mention, so just try to collect them all! Let alone all the great Rock that came out and Metal and Jazz and......

I wasn't asking to educate myself and add to my collection. I have tons of 80's music. I was just asking to see what people thought were the "best" songs of the 80's. Just curious.

Mine would have to be:
1. Human League - Human
2. Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
Among many many others of course...you know the 80's get teased alot for the way the decade was..but I still think it had some of the strongest songs out. Or maybe I am just still stuck in the 80's, don't know.

Some of these songs listed make me think of the early days of MTV - like "Betty Davis Eyes."
Anyway, my favorites include:
7-11 by The Ramones
Modern Love by David Bowie
Is She Really Going Out With Him by Joe Jackson
Those 3 really bring back the memories. Anyone else enjoy "Remember the 80's" on VY1?

"Bizarre Love Triangle" is definitely up there, so is New Order's "True Faith."
I love David Bowie's "China Girl," Alphaville's "Forever Young" and "Big in Japan," and a-ha's "Take on Me."
