What sup guys,

i was hoping anyone know the best EQ settings for Shure E3c. Right now i'm using NO EQ, I was wondering if there's any better settings.

Give the Latin or Jazz EQs a try.

Latin is probably the only EQ curve which lessens the mids (the E3c has a little too much) and also shapes the lows, without causing them to distort like the bass booster.

I like Hip-Hop a lot. It makes the sound sound (pun intended) fuller and overall more fun to listen to.

Latin and Jazz sound a little too tinny for me.

Hip-hop adds too much low to it though.

Is there any chance that Apple will allow user configurable EQ presets to be uploaded to the ipod from itunes in later versions? Is there something that's prohibiting this functionality in the firmware?

I thought they have this feature already? Like individual songs will save the EQ settings from your itunes when uploaded the the ipOd

It'll only save for the presets. Only the EQ preset name is transferred, not the values.

i think i know what you mean, but can you make a new preset, set the values and save it in a new name for the new-preset. will the new-EQ-preset take in effect in the iPod?

See above.

I think I heard that iTunes 5.0 would have this feature. I'm thinking iTunes 5.0 will probably be released once the 5G is released..

Considering that a number of other players on the market have had this for a while now I'd think they'd be able to do it. The only justification not to would be that it just isn't possible in their hardware. Here's to hoping it comes in the next (major) upgrade.
