I got my wife an Ipod for herself, She really liked mine and wanted a mini for herself.

I set up the mini and unchecked the box to automatically update the itunes on the ipod. I have way to much in the itunes and it wont all fit on the mini. When I plug in the new mini Itune opens and it shows a lillte pink mini on the left that says Nicoles mini. I drag and drop all the songs from my main lib. to her mini and it does download to her mini.

The problem I am having is that when it is done transfering to the mini it does not say ok to disconnect. It has been an hour since I transfered the songs to her mini and her ipod still says do not disconnect. Whats the deal. I know the songs are on there. Should I just disconnect it or what.

In manual sync mode (which you're using) you have to manually eject the iPod via the iPod Eject button in iTunes (look in the bottom right-hand corner of iTunes). Additionally you may need to eject it safely from Windows via the icon in your Windows system tray.
