charging the battery

this is odd...

I usually change my battery using the AC Adaptor. this way I can plug it in overnight and when I wake up, I'm ready to go

this afternoon, I noticed I needed a recharge so I plugged it in to the AC Adaptor. After awhile it was ready to go. Then I decided to dump a few more songs into it. So I plug it into the computer

this is the odd part: where the ac adaptor method said the battery was full, its currently "charging" via the firewire port in my computer

so, question... does one get a "better charge" via the computer?

No. In fact, if you don't eject the ipod from your computer, the HD will continue to spin, causing heat and wear and tear on the HD.
