I think I waste about 5 precious minutes of my life each day with untangling the white in-ear phones that came with my ipod. I've never used ear phones with long cords before, so what do other people do to keep the knots from forming when you wrap them up in your pocket?

A long time ago I bout an "El Cheapo" pair of JVC buds ($7) that came with this neat case that wrapped the wire neatly and had a place for the buds to rest. It is compact with a clear plastic cover. It protects them and keep me from have the tangled mess you have. I would recommend you picking up one like this from the budget section of your discount store.

I have the perfect solution! www.sumajin.com. I heard about it from this site. they are a little rubberish plastic thing to wrap your cord around. They are so simple that the just work. They come in a variety of colors and cost $5 each with a $5 shipping cost. I highly recomend these to anybody with headphones. They also shorten up the cord so you dont have a mile of cord hangin out of your pocket.

I use a case from Shure:

I think I paid about $12 for it. There is a "spool" inside which you can wrap the cord around, and the earbuds nestle in a compartment in the middle.

The SmartWrap as Sgocka mentioned above is another option. More options include:
