Can I change the metallic sound in in-ear headphone?

Sorry this might sound redundant. I was the most excited with the in-ear´s from apple, but now I am really disappointed. The metallic sound that I get is simply too much. Is it just a matter of fitting them correctly, I mean just pull them in/out until I found the right spot? I will appreciate your help.

"Metallic" sound? Do you mean too much treble ("highs")? If so, I'd say you're not achieving a proper seal between the in-ear tips and your ear. Try inserting them further, or try a different tip.

I agree, when insert incorrectly, my E3c sounds 'horrific' with screeching treble...
Try different tips to find the best fit for your ears....
