do you think the case looks good or ugly.
and if you have recommendations, what are some other good cases like this where it protects the clickwheel and screen and that protects good and has a nice look

Try the iSkins, the new glow ones (look like tye-died messes) come with matching click wheel covers and matching iPod screen covers. The green ones come with green screen covers and a green swirly click wheel cover. Same with the blue and pink ones. Check out www.iskin.com The iSkins are some of the highest rated iPod cases. This topic will probably be moved to gear, just for your information.

Oooh, I really dig those tie-dyed swirly skins! I've been thinking about selling my 3G and upgrading to a 4G ... maybe a good time to do it when the skins come out! Pam :)

I just read the New Speck Toughskin review and I am really interested in purchasing one for myself. I honesty don't care what the case looks like as long as it protects my IPod. The thing that interests me about this case is that it has wheel protection, unlike the very popular Contour Design Showcase. But like fluentintegra I want to know if anyone has encountered any problems with the case.
As for recommendations, many people seem to like the Contour Design Showcase, but as I said it has no wheel protection. And while I have never owned a silicon skin, I hear that they are a magnet for dust and stuff. So, I am still looking for a good case that I can throw in my backpack without risking damage to my IPod.

Well, it looks just like the Contour Design Showcase, but with wheel protection. Check out the bottom link to see how the 3g model was rated.

No, you have to open the cover in order to use the clickwheel.

the clickwheel will not work.
The iSkins are crap, and I have been using one for 2 months.

you cant use the click wheel when the cover is over it, you have to flip it up, then you are touching the actual ipod wheel

I don't find the clickwheel to be inconvenient at all. I personally love this case, think it looks great-- it does gather a little bit of dust, but is easily cleaned. I'm thinking of sticking one of the adhesive clickwheel covers on as well (the 3D one, methinks) but overall, I'm feeling pretty cozy with this case.
