Hi, as this lounge forum is so extensive i am aware that i may be posting a question to which the answer is somewhere at present yet i haven't been able to locate it.
I am running Win XP and have a 40 GB ipod only a month old. I have been using it for a month without problems. Yet today as i turned on my pc, my ipod started making noises as usual and flashing "do not disconnect". But itunes didn't open automatically. So i opened it manually and it didn't recognize the iPod. So i tried opening it through windows yet as soon as I right clicked the ipod icon, explorer crashes. So i tried plugging it into the wall and reseting it, yet it still wouldn't connect with the pc propperly. (BTW: the ipod works fine, as in it plays music and charges etc.) So i tried downloading the newest updater thinking that might help. After opening and iPod Updater 2005-01-11 and pressing ok to the 'about' stuff, it said Initializing. And so it has been for the last ½ hour or so... I really do not know what im doing wrong, yet i am afraid that its a curroption on the iPod? (then it wouldn't be able to play would it) because i am in a habit of simply pulling my ipod of its stand and not disconnecting it properly first...:(
Well, In advance, thank you to any replies, referrals, and especially solutions!
