I like podcasts, but theres annoyances...Is there a way to make it faster? I could go to the website and download the mp3 manually in a fraction of the time it takes. What programs do you use? Maybe I use the wrong ones...(I've used about 5 with the same results.) I don't feel like waiting half an hour for a talk show. And, I know theres topics about it...but...could you guys recommend some stuff. Updated frequently a must. Preferablly daily. Talk shows, news, comedy. Whatevers good.

So, if you could recommend some programs and casts...that'd be great.

Faster how? Faster downloads or making the file itself play faster on your iPod?

These websites have links to the most popular feeds. Most casts are updated every day. Adam Curry's Daily Source Code being one.

www.ipodder.org
www.podcast.net
audio.weblogs.com

As far as programs, I've only used Mac software. iPodderX will check my feeds every hour, or longer, if I want to. Downloads to my iTunes are automatic, and my podcasts are always waiting for me. Of course, it all depends on when my podcasts are posted on-line. www.ipodder.org has links to some of the more popular programs. iPodder is good, and is on Windows.

It's possible the podcast you're trying to recieve is distributed with bittorrent - I've found this frequently makes for very slow downloads.
