Nope. Until they start implementing features which are exclusive to other players, like
Gapless Playback and Parametric EQ on Rio Player(s)
Pristine sound quality on Creative Players
Lengthy feature lists on iRiver Players
Multi Media formats on Archos Players
Bargains on Dell Players
Lengthy battery life on most players
then these players above will always have their niche in the market. But don't plan on Apple doing anything to solve their above problem.

What about...
Ugly POS Rio Player(s)
Constant crashes and freeze ups of Creative Players
Ugly (but well made) iRiver Players
Over priced piece of crap Archos Players
Bargains on Dell Players that have thier fair share of performance problems
Lengthy battery life on most players -Apple is slowly getting better. The Shuffle far exceeds the 12 hours it promises and the 4Gs are at about 12 hours which should be plenty for average day to day use.
I've used plenty of other players and I still always come back to Apple.

Could you please list for me which specific products of those above companies you're comparing to the Shuffle?
Because I started with Rio and cannot find a single player of theirs priced at $99.i
Thanks.

Do we really need another thread about this? There are tons out there. I'll keep it open though, for now.

The iPod Shuffle forum is getting bogged down with duplicate threads. There are plenty of other threads discussing the pro's and con's of the Shuffle.
Please post your opinions in the official opinions thread (http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71405). Thank you.
