Hi there

I'm getting a really big headache and I can't for the life of me fathom out why it is happening.......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to see any previously featured topics specific to this problem.

I am trying to add music files to my iTunes library (which I haven't ripped) from my own personal music library. The funny thing is they all play on Windows Media Player but there are a few which cannot be added to the iTunes Library or played on the iTunes Player.

They are all MP3's encoded using the LAME encoder

Any help pppplllleeeeaaasseee

(P.S it has nothing to do with the bitrates as files of similar size are able to play on the iTunes Player)

Welcome to the lounge. Try importing the songs from the CD into iTunes. If they are downloads they should be burned to a disk, as a back up, and then import them.

I found my solution to be: Remove punctuation marks from the file name, for instance no commas, apostrophe's, etc...........it seems that itunes does not like or recognize them correctly and thus the file won't play.
