Dock Compatability

Hello, I have a 4th generation 40gb Dock. Which ipods is this dock compatable with?

4th Gen 40GB is it, unfortunately.

It's too small for the photo,
too big for the 3G 30GB/40GB,
and obviously too big for anything else.

Unless, of course, you're willing to stress the dock connector by putting in an iPod small enough.

wouldnt it be too small for the 3g 30gb/40gb? since those are .75 inches deep, while 4g 40gb is .63?

i'm trying to get a dock fer my new 4G... the problem is I don't wanna spend $69 CAD to get it...

Some people are selling 3G docks on ebay for cheap... I wanna know FOR SURE if a 20gb 4G will fit into a 3G dock!

Any help??

hitmanx i also have a 4G 20GB iPod, and my cousin has a 3G 20GB iPod I am pretty sure i have used my iPod with his dock before. But just to make sure I can check again and get back to you as soon as I can( maybe in two days)
