Look at the top of the forum at the stickie please. All the sites are listed there that have been posted in the forums. Also, check the artists website that you like for free music downloads. A lot of artist do offer free downloads of some of their songs.

Again, please see the sticky thread (http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67861) at the top of this forum. Morpheus fits into the same category as any other P2P service.

That's not really true, is it?

There's no law against peer-to-peer file sharing. Some indie rock bands encourage it, as a way of spreading their music and their reputation around. There's even something called creative-commons licensing, which protects an artist's copyright yet allows the music to be distributed freely, as long as you don't sell it for profit.

You cross the line when you start sharing music (or software, or anything else) whose owners do NOT want to share it. In other words, most commercial recordings.

As far as I know, there is no such thing as an ILLEGAL fire-sharing network, just like there's no such thing as an illegal cell phone. If you use the phone to make death threats, you're violating some law. Same with using a network to break copyright laws.

Peer-to-peer itself is about as illegal as google. What you use it for determines the legality of your actions.
