Anyone know if using a cheap USB extension cable is a problem with the iPS? It seems list a good idea. I think there will be some third party docks soon.

What about third party AC and/or Car chargers? Like:

Wall Charger, $15 (http://www.boxwave.com/products/wallcharger/index.htm)

Car Charger, $10 (http://www.boxwave.com/products/carcharger/index.htm)

Car and wall in one! $25 (http://www.boxwave.com/products/versacharger/index.htm)

Anyone know of any other chargers?

Also, any idea how long it takes to fill a 1GB iPS using USB 1.1? I have an eMac that doesn't have 2.0.

Also, can I just use a powered USB hub as a stand alone charger?

Thanks,

Allan

They should work just fine, I can't imagine they would cause any issues with the iPs.

I don't know whether it is the same brand or not. I found the same thing in Target.com

it's only $5.00!

Hello,

Do you think your chargers will work with the iPod shuffle?

Thanks

Allan

Allan,

I believe you had some concerns about the charging mechanism and the erratically blinking light. I'm not sure if they have been addressed for you yet but I think it would be beneficial to let others know that possibly may be having similar concerns.

I would like to assure you that the iPod shuffle will work with the VersaCharger along with the Car Charger, Wall Charger, and Battery Adapter. The light blinking erratically just means that it is tricle chargig bec ause the Shuffle is fully charged. It is actually going back and forth from detecting a full charge and the Shuffle losing charge.

I hope this has addressed your concerns about the compatibility of the VersaCharger and iPod Shuffle. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Cheers, :)
