Recommend me some good isolating earbuds with bass. Something along the lines of sony ex71's. I want something decent but not too expensive.

You already mentioned them . . . the ex71's are the best at producing deep bass on a budget. It's what I have and, based on your sig, what you've already ordered. Are you just looking to validate your purchase? If so, good choice.

I've had them for about a month now. One of the cables has devoloped a small hole in the rubber insolator, exposing the wire underneath. I need new earbuds to replace them.

There really isn't any cheaper isolating earphones with good bass. Maybe you could check out those new ones on the main page.

Have you tried calling Sony? The earphones should have a 1 year warranty included with them...

u sure I can get a warranty claim for them? I bought them from an online reseller. I was thinking of getting e2c's. They r somewhat similar.

Call them up, it can't hurt to give it a try. Hopefully they can ship you a new replacement pair. Just out of curiosity; have the earphones become unlistenable now, or do they still work as they used to? I have a split cord on mine, which I just taped up, works fine, the internal wires were not damaged.

It still works but it is quite ghetto lolz. I tried calling up sony but their service dept. is closed rite now. They have this really bad AI service rep. It asks u questions and its hard to answer. It asked me what category I was dealing with I said "audio" and it thinks I said vaio...

I"m not sure if the E2 will give you the amount of bass that you want. I have both the sony mdr ex71s and the Shure E2cs and the shure don't have the same amount of impact as the sonys. Shures are more detailed though and you do hear little things in your music you never heard before, but I miss the bass impact of the Shures (not that they are a slouch in this department either). Luckily for me I have a Dell DJ which has a user defined EQ so I can turn the bass up as desired. There is a review on the front page on some Yahba Opus Earphones, seem to be pretty good.

I went to to sony store in toronto and they said I cant get warranty on them. I ordered my ex71's online from the US cuz I wanted the white ver. They only have the black ver. in canada. earbuds arent repaired, theya re just replaced. Oh well i guess I'm outta luck. I might just order another pair later. I like them and I think they are worth the money. I might just wait and save up for a pair of e5's in the summer.
