Ive had these for around 4 months now and there great!! Clean bass and sound for the money your paying for. The creator of these 'phones is definitely a class act, send him a email and youll find out for yourself.

how comfortable are they when they're in your ears?

more comfortable that the standard Apple in-ear phones?

I just ordered these last night after reading the review... I'm hoping I like them better than the griffin earjams. Don't get me wrong, the earjams are pretty decent (lacking in high end, which is strange because without the earjams, the stock earbuds have decent highs)...but I've found that they don't like the pressure created when you insert/remove them from your ears. I hear lots of crackling/popping from the driver when I push them in my ear or pull them out... even to the point where sometimes the left earbud does not play until I blow air into the earbud.

I will be sure to post my comparison when I get them!

Does anyone know how the bass compares with the Sonys MDR Ex71s?

im sure the bass in the Yahba Opus Earphones aren't as strong as the Sony EX71's... but according to the review, the Yahba Opus ones still have a very decent bass.

I just received these... I was using Koss "The Plugs" prior, and had my EQ set to latin. I put these things in and almost threw my ipod! (Ok, I would never throw my ipod, but you understand...) They sounded like cheap walmart $5.99 earphones. I unplugged them from the ipod and plugged them into my pc, loaded up itunes and EQ'ed to a perfect V shape (almost) and they sound great. Can get very loud, sound crisp, bass is decent... But one big problem... the ipod doesn't have the ability to custom EQ. I'm waiting for that firmware upgrade apple!!!

Also, just another FYI... those of you who want different sized rubber pieces for these earphones, the ones from the EarJams fit perfectly.

your talking about griffins earjams correct? Is there a significant improvement in overall sound with the earjams?

The EarJams do not sound good at all. They lack all mid and upper range sounds, and the bass is extremely muddy. But they do use the same rubber inserts as the Sony's if you need replacements, lol.

To get an EQ setting that is 'V' shaped while using the iPod, just set it to Rock. As you can see in iTunes the rock setting forms a perfect v-shape.

My first post about sound quality was regarding the Yahba Opus. The second post was to let everyone know that if they need various sized rubber inserts, the griffin earjams come with 3 different sizes, and all of them fit the yahbas. I did not know the sonys used the same size as well, so there is another option.

As for the earjams, the SQ was not as good as the koss plugs, but bareable. As xluben said, the lacked high end, bad... Problem was though, that after putting them in and out of your ear a few times, it seems the suction ruins the diaphram of the apple earbuds. I've lost one channel on them after a few weeks... as I am puttign them in I can hear it play, but once the pressure equalizes, I lose it...

Oh well, I guess I'll use the yahbas until I can bring myself to spend more on something else.

I bought and tried the Yahbas and did not like them. When I messed with the EQ to increase the bass and cut the mids, the bass started to distort. The stock Apple's are much more dynamic when run at a flat EQ. The Yahbas sounded like an AM radio compared to the stock earbuds. I'm still looking for something with good sound to wear when working out. If the Apple's were only comfortable but after 10 minutes, my ears are really sore.

To compliment the Yahbas, I did like the comfort a lot. They are transparent to wear. The service has been great. One email and I got the okee dokee to return them for a full refund. Hopefully, they'll come out with something better in the future.

Sound quality is horrendous, don't be lured by the price. This is truly a case of getting what you pay for!!! These earbuds make the stock Ipod earbuds sound like Sennheiser HD555s. The customer support is non existent. Buying these are a complete waste of money, if money is an issue just wait a little longer and save up and additional $20-30 -you won't regret it. Did I tell you how Yahba doesn't respond to any emails and there is no other way to contact them?? Because of the good review I read regarding these earbuds I am now skeptical of every review unless it's written by an actual consumer. Once again, avoid Yahba and their shoddy products.

P.S. they fit a little better than the standard earbuds, but wat's the point when they sound like they're in mud??

Are the sony Ex51/71 earcaps/eartips compatible with the Yahabas?
