Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank You
Okay, I have read all the things and researched everything on iPod Lounge to find the best Isolating phones out there, now, as I read the whole thing, I just cant decide which one to get.
So I need your help, if you own at least one of any Isolating phones out there, please tell me which one I should get. Just to tell you, I dont want to spend more than what I spent on my iPod itself especially that I bought the iPod photo 40GB and I am on a budget since I am planning to get and switch to mac buying the most expensive mac they have available for home users of which my budget for that is $3,500.
So, my budget for one of the Isolating earphones would be around $150.00 or $200.00 if I wont buy a Sony 5.0 Megapixel Digital Camera, but I am doing that also, but I can afford around $200.00 for one of the Isolating Earphones as long as they are worth it.
So, I need your guy's opinion, which one should I get? I am, well, was more interested in Shure E2c but then, when I read the stuff you guys have hear about Isolating earphones, I thought that the E3 is a better value from your guy's point of view. So, I can get any brand but mostly interested in both Etymotic Research and Shure. So, can you guys help me?
Please give me some of your reviews and experience with Isolating phones, and if you owned two of them, tell me which brand and model they are and tell me which one was the best.
Pls, and Thank You. :)

I got the ety 6i phones (see sig) and theyre awesome. They sound great, aren't too expensive (USD120 @ buy.com). They also go along great with the iPod (they are made for use with the iPod.)
Good luck, and it's nice to see another pinoy here (my mom's filipino, but now we live in america)

One of my friends has the shure E3c earbuds. He has the gray ones. The sound on them is really clear. The MSRP is 170 but you can find them around 110 at some stores online.

Hehehe, my mom is fililip(a) but I dunno if they call em Filipino now like the way they changed Actress to Actor, anyway, I live in the US of A too. Washington State, how bout you?
And at buy.com, they have right now a Shure E3c and its only $134 something, is that a good buy? And is buy.com a trusted site? And lets say something happens with the earphones, then do I get the replacement from buy.com or Shure themselves?

Too many questions, hehehe, I have another one, are the design or comfort of the 3 Shure Models of Isolating phones different? Which one is more comfortable? And can all of those use the foam or w/e? Cuz I want to use the foam as more people think they are a lot better.
Thanks for the replies. :)

I have the Shure E3c and they sound great. I use the foamies and they are very comfortable and have great isolation. I can't speak for the ety's, but if I had the choice to buy the Shures again, I would.

Okay, that does it, Im getting the Shure E3c, but should I get it at Buy.com and I still get the full warranty for it from Shure or do I have to buy it at Shure's website to get the 2 year limited warranty?
Buy.com has the e3 for 134.99 and I think its a good deal, so Ima get it now, but Need more answers.

Dont' buy it from Shure's website... you get the warranty from any authorized dealer. Buy.com is fine, but I'm pretty sure you can get them slightly cheaper with a coupon code from some other site... I think I saw $118 being thrown around on here the other day.
As far as your other questions, the E3 is the most comfortable of the Shure line (not counting the yet-to-be released E4). The E3 comes with one set of foams, so you'll need to order more if you plan on using them. Personally, I'd recommend you try the triple flanges as they provide most of the same benefits as the foams, but don't need to be replaced.

In the E3c vs. 6i thread that's currently on page 1, Mina says he has a coupon code for earphonesolutions.com that will bring them to $114 and he'll give it to you if you PM him.

Got it, bought it at ecost.com and I dunno if it is a reliable site but I can complain later and sue em if they charge me and not give me what I bought.
Anyway, I got it there since its only 118 bux plus processing and handling thing I guess. But I checked out my order history, it's not showing up there, I dunno, maybe it takes a while. Hopefully I will get it before the weekend.
Thanks for your advice and your help for me to decide which one to get, oh, yeah, I got the Shure E3c and since ecost doesnt have or offer any accessories for that, I think Im just gonna buy my accessories at Shure's website or someplace else. Anyway, thanks for the help. :) Hopefully, its has a good Isolation but I should be satisfied as I am already satisfied with the regular iPod earphones. Hehehehe.

Ecost is reputable. Don't worry. Enjoy the E3c's.

Just to add, I'm a Shure fan. I have the E2s, and they sound great. I like the E3s also.
