I am looking to get new earphones, and i am thinking of getting the apple in ear earpones. Are these earphones worth $40? please give me some feedback!

I didn't like them....... folks told me that I wasn't "shoving them far enough into my ear canal"...... I didn't want a lobotomy via ear canal at this point in time, so I returned them to the Apple store.
These have worked well for me..... you attach them to the ear buds that come with the iPod:

Mike, thanks for the link to the ear jams. I just ordered some, and if they are more comfortable than the stock buds, you just saved me some money. So, thanks again! :D

Thanks for the heads up. I really like the oem iPod earphones for fit & finish but not sound.
This hopefully will be a nice plug-in.

Just curious. My stock headphones have started to make a vibration sound when relatively loud. Do the earjams help with this at all?

I suppose indirectly they could, as the earjams would theoretically allow for a lower volume to be set at since it's in the ears. That, however, is a problem with the actual earphones and most likely will only get worse..
