Hi there!
I'm making plans for my future sound system and I would like to know if it's possible to connect the Clarion VRX928RVD with an iPod.

I've searched the forums and found some useful topics with some good links, but I didn't find any cables for the Clarion head units, only for Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, etc...

That Clarion model can control a CD or DVD changer so I guess it would be compatible to connect an iPod to it. Also, connecting the iPod will allow me to control the track I'm listening to right? If it doesn't it's better to use a simple RCA input but that doesn't interest me at all...

It would be nice to connect an iPod to that unit so it would give me portability and free hdd space, instead of having a bunch of dvd's with MP3's on it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

any multimedia head unit will alow you to hook up an ipod. mostly likely that unit will come with a hide away unit with several inputs for audio/video equipment. a siplie RCA>mini plug cord will do just find. this setup will not alow track changing via the head unit.

Yes, I know it is possible to hook it up with RCA cables in a aux in or something. What I need is a cable that will make the IPOD work like a CD Changer. I know the connector is CeNet

eh thats a toughie.. neither dension or monster advertises a compatible interface as of now. the only thing i can say is... if you want full integration, look into an alpine head unit/monitor

Well, instead of dropping $1500 for a TV/DVD I will buy a Pioneer DEH-P9600MP instead... Sound quality with a nice parametric eq and iPod ready!

Problem solved!

Clarion are releasing their own iPod kit - a dvd screen with full iPod control:

and also a cable for ceNet headunits that will display info on a normal headunit.

No more details yet, im waiting for the ceNet cable .... :0(
